Yesu Ahuriire Community is a spiritual renewal center under the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Uganda. It is located 8miles from Mbarara Town along the Mbarara – Kabale highway.
OUR CALL.
We are called to New Envangelisation in the power of the Holy Spirit. Having experienced the love of God the Father and after a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ that changed our lives completely, we have been drawn together to love, to live our faith more deeply and to share what we have experienced. Called by Jesus and touched by His Grace, each member of the community aspires to attain growth in human and spiritual maturity [Holiness]. This growth can be seen in the following areas: Faith, Personal prayer, Knowledge of Scripture, Desire for holiness, Self-Discipline, Overcoming of fear and Unfolding of gifts.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT.
We exist to live together, serve one another for spiritual growth and to evangelize primarily the baptized Catholics as well as form leaders.
We serve the Catholic Church through the Diocesan Service Team (D.S.T) by coordinating and facilitating its outreach programmes.
We will produce:
- Renewed and committed trained leaders for the Catholic Church of Mbarara Archdiocese.
- A family of committed Priests, Religious, Lay evangelizers/Missionaries for our Diocese, Nation, Africa and the whole World.
OUR VISION STATEMENT
By 2020, we will be at the forefront in the Mission of New Evangelization. We will be using effective, creative, modern methods of education and communication with a multiplier effect for the local and the Universal Catholic Church.
Strategies:
- To live together as a Community in order to grow spiritually as individual and numerically as Community.
- To develop different ministries, form, and equip leaders for New Evangelization.
- To establish self-sustaining projects for long-term financial stability.
- To reach out and serve all people with love and compassion.
- To establish an Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Centre that will equip evangelizers with modern methods of communication.
- To give knowledge and skills through training humanities and scientific disciplines for intellectual development.
- To complete the building construction of Yesu Ahuriire Spiritual Renewal Centres.
- To be providers of the Kerygmatic teaching of the Church for a multiplier effect.
